Gaming Rumors Are More Fun?
When I started this site a couple months ago, I planned on writing about rumors regarding technology. You know, Google, Apple, iPod, stuff that really gets the internet buzzing. So, I started writing about tech rumors and Apple annoucements and it was cool, but people didn’t really seem to care. Then, I wrote about Halo Online. That is when everything changed…
If you haven’t read it yet, it’s still the most commented story on this blog. Basically, after I wrote that post it ended up on Shoutwire, Xboxic, and even Xbox360 Fanboy(a Joystiq blog). That brought in a lot of traffic and catapulted the site from 5-10 visitors per day to 30-50 visitors per day. After that story I didn’t talk much about video games and I went back to general tech rumors. Once again nothing I wrote seemed to make much of an impact. *Sigh*
Then, last week I wrote about the Wii launching in June for $199. That made it to the digg front page and had over 1300 diggs. It was one of the top stories for the week. That has brought my daily readership to over 100. I’m sure many of you readers are here from many of the blogs and forums that linked to the story. Welcome.
So where am I going with this? I guess I’m going to start writing more game-related material since that’s what most of you seem to be interested in. Sure, I’m still going to rant about iPods and Google and stuff like that, but expect to read a lot more gaming rumors now. THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN. VIVA LA REISITANCE!!!
