Texas Hold ‘Em XBLA First Impressions

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

So, before I had to head in to work today I took some time to sit down with Texas Hold ‘Em for Xbox Live Arcade. It’s a free download for the next 48 hours and you should definately give it a whirl. It’s a blast. If you like poker, you should enjoy this game. It’s got a nice interface and it’s pretty fun to play. It also keeps a running tally of your money both for single and multiplayer, so that almost gives it a RPG kind of feel. Anyhow, some of the computers in the game I played betted a bit dumb and so I’m not sure how great the poker AI is going to be, but who knows? I LOVE the music in the game. It’s twangy and fun. Hopefully this week I’ll have time for a real review. So far, so good!
