E3 Is Dead n Stuff…

So it’s been reported a billion places by now. E3, the video game industry’s orgy of fun and tech demos, is being “reimagined” as a more low-key affair. Instead of filling the Staples Center with humungous booths, booth babes, and their humungous boo…*ahem*…smiles, E3 will be more of a low-key affair. There will be press confrences and whatnot, but no longer will it be the harbringer of fortunes for the video game world.

While every blog and newssite seems to be afraid to say it, Sony more than likely had A LOT to do with this. Sony tanked thier press confrence and lost a lot of credibility among gamers, myself included. Their demos sucked and the Wii stole the show. It was fantastic. Finally, Nintendo is going to be back on the throne right?

Now, Sony is in no hurry to leave their throne and will fight kicking and screaming to stay on top. Not only does Sony want to stay on top, their whole business depends on it. The PS3 is Sony’s whole new business model for entertainment, video games, music, movies. The whole shebang. It has to work or else. So far the future looks bad for Sony. Sadly, Sony wouldn’t go down on its own. It’s taking E3 with it.

I can’t believe how much this site has gone downhill. I used to know coming here I’d find a great article about something that no one else was talking about. Slowly went downhill after you sold-out to get the big hits to the website. don’t think this worth have the bookmark anymore. Just my opinion. I hope you’ll prove me wrong.
